The key requisite in exam centre provision is that the centre is fit for purpose, delivering an experience that is conducive to the successful completion of exams. Customer service sets a budget each year which currently stipulates that the average cost per candidate, per session should be no more than £10.00 per head for the venue only. In the vast majority of instances institutes are securing centres at or below this figure. In a small number of instances, local circumstances are such that the CII has had to secure venues at a higher cost. Where this is the only viable option we will do so. Any institute seeking to change venue must forward details of cost for approval to CII Customer Service before finalising any agreements.
