Entries for the CII’s Public Interest Awards are now open with full details of the categories and entry criteria available at www.cii.co.uk/pia2015. The winners will be announced at a special awards ceremony on 12 February 2015 at The East Wintergarden in London’s Canary Wharf.
The Public Interest Awards were launched last year in order to recognise the individuals, teams and organisations that do the most to educate, inform and benefit buyers of personal and commercial insurance in the UK. The inaugural event attracted nearly 200 guests from across the profession, with winners including Ecclesiastical, Axa Direct, Willis & Co, Sterling Insurance and Zurich. Individual winners included broadcaster and journalist Paul Lewis and Axa UK CEO Paul Evans.
This year, the awards include four new categories: Chartered Individual of the Year, Best Customer Service Initiative – Service Provider, Best Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative and the Promoting the Profession Award, which will highlight work undertaken by insurers with the likes of schools and universities focused on educating the public about the profession.
Criteria and details of how to enter are available on the event website, www.cii.co.uk/pia2015. The awards are now open for entries and the deadline is 31 October 2014. To find out more about the awards or reserve a table, please contact PIA@cii.co.uk.
