Following my initial save the date communication sent on 31st July, I now have the pleasure of inviting you to this year’s Education Secretaries Conference. After the success of last year’s inaugural conference, this is once again an important day for local institute Education Secretaries – and, where appropriate, others specifically involved in the overall running of exam sessions such as Exam Invigilators or Programme Secretaries.
Scheduled for Wednesday 2nd October at the CII’s head office at 20 Aldermanbury, London EC2, the conference will cover the recent and future planned developments of qualifications, exams and education and how these will impact on the local institutes. The conference will recognize your vital role in the running of CII exams throughout the UK, Channel Islands and Isle of Man and provide you the opportunity to meet and discuss your role with other Education Secretaries.
The conference, which commences at 10:30 and finishes at 14:30 with lunch provided, will be fully interactive, providing you with the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. (please see the attached agenda below, subject to change).
As a forward-looking exercise, the conference is aimed at all Education Secretaries, whether experienced or new to the role. Given the significance of the content, we would strongly urge attendance. If you personally cannot attend, we would encourage attendance by another representative from your institute. The CII will be funding the day, though your travel costs will need to be met from your local institute’s budget.
To help us manage the day, we would ask you to please confirm your attendance by filling in all the required details on the booking form which can be found here. A maximum of two individuals per local institute may attend the conference. If you have any queries please contact the CII’s Area Marketing Co-ordinator, Andrew at andrew.hartley@cii.co.uk.
I very much look forward to seeing you on the day, which I’m sure you will find to be interesting and valuable.
