2014 saw the introduction of annual local institute development plans, created by the network of local institutes and supported by the area marketing team.
The key purpose of these plans is to help incoming presidents plan the year ahead, ensuring that institutes deliver the services required by members – CPD, social events, etc and ensure the effective running of the institute itself.
They also support and underpin every local institute's ongoing progression and provide a helpful barometer for your progress and development in the key areas linked to your annual assessment which in turn links to your institute's annual funding.
Your area marketing manager will be contacting you in due course to schedule your annual development meeting which will be utilised to review last year’s development plan with the current president as well as help to set objectives for the 2015/16 presidential year with the incoming president.
Ideally this meeting should take place as early as is convenient in quarter one of 2015 – your area marketing manager will be on hand to provide advice and to record planned activities.
