The annual Network Conference – NC2013 took place at the CII’s head office in London on Tuesday 23rd July. 121 local institute representatives from across the network came together to be updated on the CII’s key initiatives and objectives and also to discuss their experiences and views on the delivery of local member services.
The day featured a number of speakers with the main focus of the conference being ‘future proofing the network’.
Presentations
Delegates were updated on the key piece of work being undertaken by the Grants Working Party into local institute funding and the holding of reserves as well as key updates around the topics of area marketing, continuing professional development, exam centres and education.
Institutes have their say
Listening to last year’s feedback we had dedicated sessions led by individual local institutes. Four of our institutes delivered overviews of best practice within the areas of CPD programmes, PFS relations, young professional committees and good governance. The speakers were able to give real examples of work undertaken in their localities and delegates were invited to share their experiences.
The conference concluded with a session delivered by a leading motivational speaker on how individuals can motivate themselves in order to deliver in every area of their life.
