AGM season will soon be upon us and many of you already have dates in the diary and venues agreed. If you haven't finalised AGM details yet, we’d encourage you to do as soon as possible.
Succession planning for the next presidential year goes hand in hand with AGM planning. As well as the statutory responsibilities of presenting annual reports and electing key officials, the meeting presents a valuable opportunity to engage with members to get a feel for the types of activity that they would value. Members who attend and participate at the AGM might be potential candidates for your council, so it’s an ideal opportunity to source new joiners.
Don't forget, there is an excellent guide here to help you when arranging your local institute AGM.
