BIBA 2017 was a great success and without a doubt the biggest and best yet!
Dubbed as the biggest event in the insurance calendar, the British Insurance Brokers' Association exhibition, held in Manchester, is where thousands of delegates from the sector come to do business, extend their knowledge, make new contacts and reinforce existing relationships.
The CII exhibited three stands this year and our Business Advantage one was busy with meetings with CII president John Moore, discussing Chartered status with countless firms and individuals, not to mention our special guest Dame Kelly Holmes signing CII notebooks and taking photos with fans.
Our Broker Assess stand was also buzzing and had around 350 visitors, many of whom had a great time testing their knowledge of risk on the giant smart phone quiz app 'Broking the Future'.
Our CII Fringe session, Business Advantage through Chartered status, was full, and attending delegates were treated to an emotional introduction video showing Dame Kelly Holmes' double Olympics gold medal victories, followed by a passionate and impactful debate from our expert panel including Paul Anscombe, CEO of Seventeen Group, Anne Dalton of TC Brokers, our very own Steve Jenkins of the CII and Chaired superbly by Ant Gould.
And last, but by no means least, our HeForShe stand gathered nearly 200 commitments for diversity and gender equality! Manned (and womanned) brilliantly by our CII team including Vanessa Riboloni and Dan Foley.
All in all it was a massive success, so thank you to everyone involved and here's looking forward to next year!
