The Local Institute Finance Working Party, consisting of several local institute treasurers, has been working in conjunction with the CII’s finance department to create an accounts tool for all local institutes to utilise.
Its aim is to provide a straightforward and consistent platform for the accounting and reporting of all financial transactions to aid treasurers in the annual returns process.
The tool has been developed to help support local treasurers by encouraging a transparent approach and ensuring that knowledge of the accounting process is able to be easily passed to any officer appointed to the treasurer role, with a swift and seamless transition of responsibility.
We have asked treasurers to familiarise themselves with the tool and start to use at their earliest convenience, in conjunction with the User Guide, both can be viewed below.
