Public trust awards 2019

The CIIs Public Trust Awards are taking place on Thursday 11th April 2019 and we are seeking nominations of people or organisations you feel would be suitable to receive an award.

To give you a brief background, these awards reflect the CII’s purpose to build public trust and recognise work in the public arena by key individuals and companies going that extra mile to promote professionalism and drive forward the public trust agenda.

The categories this year are as follows:

Building Public Trust Consumer Champion Award - This special award will be given to an individual from outside of the general, life, pensions and long-term savings profession, that the CII believes has shown a consistent commitment to benefitting customers by educating them about insurance or financial planning issues, or by championing the customer's perspective.

Building Public Trust in Insurance Award - This award will be given to an individual from inside the general insurance profession, who has made a significant impact by championing the issue of public interest, either amongst internal staff, across the profession as a whole or with the wider public.

Building Public Trust in Life, Pensions & Long-Term Savings Award - This award will be given to an individual from inside the life, pensions and long-term savings profession, who has made a significant impact by championing the issue of public interest, either amongst internal staff, across the profession as a whole or with the wider public.

Building Public Trust Consumer Marketing & Awareness Award - This special award will be given to a company within the general, life, pensions and long-term savings profession, that the CII believes has addressed a key issue on risk in an educationally driven marketing or public relations campaign. The award recognises the important role the profession can play in helping address the protection gap facing society.

Classroom to Boardroom Initiative of the Year Award - This award recognises an individual or organisation (TBC) that has made a significant contribution to the CII’s strategic Classroom to Boardroom strategy. This is about attracting and retaining talented people in the insurance profession - from highlighting the opportunities and finding ways to encourage diversity to providing structured and rewarding training and career paths.

President’s Award - An award given to a deserving individual the President’s Award at the President’s dinner each year. The award can be provided to more than one person and there is no requirement for an award to be presented every year.
