The regional membership team have been working closely with the CII’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Manager, Vivine Cameron, on plans to support our network of Diversity Officers across the local institute network. We are happy to provide the initial EDI Toolkit that was discussed with Vivine at the meeting held with LI Diversity Officers in September.
The toolkit can be downloaded below – please note this will be a live working document that will be updated by both Vivine and the regional membership team.
The team have also discussed rolling out the following support across 2023 for local institute Diversity Officers:
- Two meetings to update Diversity Officers on work being undertaken by Vivine and the wider CII on EDI – these have initially been pencilled in for April and October
- The potential development of webinars providing key information of the nine protected characteristics – supported by a database of EDI speakers – accessible via the speakers database on Network Know-How
- The development of support documentation for local institutes around inclusive language
