Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is a key requirement of CII membership and provides vital support to members to keep their skills and knowledge up-to-date and, in turn, remain competent to perform their job.
As a local institute engagement with the wider local business community, chartered firms, educational establishments and other professional bodies is encouraged.
Regular communications are essential in engaging with your members and keeping them up to date with your local institute's activities.
The CII would like to express thanks to the local institute network for assisting us over the years in delivering written examinations to our learners and members.
We have changed our assessment provider to PSI which will allow us to realise our objective of improving the learner experience using cutting-edge technology in the UK and internationally.
From October 2020 the CII are planning to move all exams to PSI centres. We can provide confirmation of the venues being used six weeks before the exams. In as far as possible this will mirror the towns and cities used previously.
This means that from October 2020 onwards we will no longer be using local exam centres as PSI will provide these and the invigilators. PSI vets all exam centres to ensure they meet high standards and to ensure they are fit for purpose.
Events are an ideal way to engage with your members and the profession locally and can include an awards evening, various social and networking activities and your annual dinner.
