Your local institute is funded by the CII on an annual basis via an Ordinary grant, and monies must be spent wisely to ensure your institute is delivering a local membership proposition that is relevant and fit for purpose. The obligation to deliver an annual Ordinary grant is set out in the CII’s Charter and applies only for local institutes in the UK (plus Isle of Man and Channel Islands) and approved by the CII (insofar as those activities will further the objects of the CII). Your annual accounts and budget will be managed by your Treasurer to ensure the financial integrity of the local institute is maintained, and that all budgets are kept up to date.
