CII Vice President applications open – help shape the CII Local Institute network and Professional Communities

We are looking for a Local Institute Council member to serve as the CII’s Vice President (Local Institutes and Professional Communities).

The Vice President supports the work of the CII and its membership, in particular, in developing and implementing best practice across the Local Institute network for the benefit of CII members. The Vice President works to raise the profile and act as ambassador for the Local Institute network within the CII, including the wider insurance and financial planning professions.

The Vice President chairs the Local Institute National Forum (LINF) which acts as a mechanism for the CII to consult the Local Institute network and feeds back Local Institute issues and concerns to the CII. They also attend quarterly meetings of the Chairs and Deputy Chairs of the CII’s Professional Communities.

This is a voluntary, non-executive position, with the appointment made for an initial one-year term, and renewable annually up to a maximum term of three years (subject to member approval at the CII Annual General Meeting (AGM)). The initial appointment will be presented for member approval at the CII AGM in October 2023.

All Local Institute Council members who are Qualified Members of the CII are eligible to apply.

Interviews will be held in the week commencing 12 June 2023 in the CII’s London office or via MS Teams.

Once the position is offered and accepted it will not become effective until it is approved by members at the CII AGM in October 2023.
