The regional membership team continue to work on projects, process and protocol to further move forward the Evolving the Partnership initiative which focuses on the three overarching themes of Volunteer Engagement, LI Visibility and LI Proposition Development.
Volunteer Engagement: Thematic Group Meetings / Digital Town Halls
Three thematic group meetings have been held over the past four weeks aimed at various council roles and supporting key CII projects and initiatives.
- The Insurance Charity - 42 delegates – overview of support offered by The Insurance Charity aimed at Local Institute Charity Officers
- CII Futures - 67 delegates – overview of the CII Futures project aimed at Local Institute Presidents and Education Officers
- Next Gen – 31 delegates - overview of the New Gen programme aimed at Local Institute Presidents.
The first round of CEO Digital Town Halls for volunteers will be taking place across May allowing Matthew Hill, CII CEO to update on the strategic direction of the CII and take any questions from the local institute network.
Volunteer Engagement: NC2025
This year’s volunteer conference – NC2025, will be taking place at Cameron House, Loch Lomond, Scotland on 18th and 19th June. Registration has now closed, including registration for additional delegates aimed at emerging professionals – applications were positive with 21 additional places being allocated to emerging professionals.
Volunteer Engagement: Local Institute Review and Development Plans 2025
The Regional Membership Managers continue to meet with each of the 52 Local Institutes to complete the annual Local Institute review and development plans. These plans are due to be completed with each institute by the end of June 2025.
Volunteer Engagement: Volunteer Survey
The team have developed a survey to get your thoughts on your volunteer role over the past 12 months. Our Volunteer Support Questionnaire will directly help the regional membership team:
- Better support your efforts and time
- Identify tools that can make your volunteer role easier
- Strengthen the wider network for everyone
This survey will be annual engagement tool going forward.
LI Visibility: New member webinar
The team presented at the quarterly new member webinar which informs all new members of the CIIs membership proposition including the benefits of engaging locally via their local institute.
LI Visibility: Social media project
The regional membership team now have access to 36 local institute Linked In platforms which allows us to directly engage with members and non-members via social media, promoting local institute activities, Journal content and key CII messages (ie: professional communities). LI Proposition Development: CPD support
The Regional Membership Team continue to work with the Contents & Capabilities Director as part of a CPD optimisation initiative, to ensure Local Institute members benefit from a smarter and more consistent approach to delivering CPD.
LI Proposition Development: Careers support
The newly formed Careers team is working with the Regional Membership Team to develop a toolkit for local institute volunteers to support local events and activity. Regular updates will be provided in Network News and the Career & Talent Lead will attend Network Conference in June.
