The Evolving the Partnership initiative focuses on three overarching themes of Volunteer Engagement, LI Visibility and LI Proposition Development. The initiative is the basis of all the work currently being undertaken by the regional membership team.
Volunteer engagement: LINF Meeting – September 2025
The team recently held the quarterly LINF meeting which enabled the National Forum Officers to discuss and share best practice. Chaired by Vice President for Local Institutes, the meeting discussed the Professional Pathways project (following a presentation from Gill White and Nicola Mellor), Membership by Experience and Evolving the Partnership. The LINF meeting was preceded by the regional forum meetings – giving each institute the opportunity to feedback good practice and any questions for the CII team.
Volunteer engagement: Volunteer onboarding programme
The team have pushed out a volunteer onboarding programme across July and August to all local institute council members following all local institute completing their AGMs. The onboarding programme is a series of three emails which highlights the support and tools each of our volunteers will receive over the next 12 months. An onboarding drop-in session will be taking place on Friday 12th September allowing volunteers to ask questions of the regional membership team.
Local Institute Visibility: social media (Linked In) + The Journal
Regular LI updates and profiling of CII activities are being provided via both platforms. Please note the team now have access to 41 Local Institute accounts – allowing us to update with content on a regular basis. The team hopes to increase this over the coming months. Journal content developed for next issue and provided to Journal editor.
Local institute Visibility: Website refresh
The regional membership team has been working closely with our digital agency, Graph, and a group of local institute volunteers to enhance the look and feel of the Local Institute websites. Our aim is to improve the member experience and streamline how members interact with your site. We aim to roll out the refresh by the end of October.
Local Institute Visibility: LI Promotional Campaign
The team have recently met with Poulsen Selleck (marketing agency) to discuss a marketing campaign to promote the benefits of members engaging with their local institute. Volunteer video content was recorded at NC2025 which will be utilised as part of the campaign. We aim to roll out the campaign by the end of 2025, with further roll outs across 2026.
