New CII research community launched to gather practitioner insight

The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) has announced the launch of Voices, a new online research community designed to give insurance and personal finance professionals a stronger role in shaping policy, professional standards and membership services.

The Voices community will enable practitioners to share real-world insight, helping to ensure the Institute’s engagement with policymakers, regulators and other stakeholders is grounded in the experience of a broad pool of professionals working across the sector. The community will also support the CII Group’s development of standards, learning, products and member services.

Voices has been created to provide a dedicated space for professionals to contribute to research that informs sector thought leadership, supports advocacy and shapes the future of insurance and personal finance. Members and non-members are welcome to join.

Participants will be invited to take part in short surveys and pulse polls, moderated discussions, topic deep-dives, focus groups and interviews. Involvement will be voluntary, with participants able to choose the activities most relevant to their interests, experience and availability. In return, Voices members will receive early access to findings before they are published, a quarterly digest showing what the community is saying, and a personal record of their participation to help them track the research they have contributed to.

Matthew Hill, Chief Executive of the Chartered Insurance Institute, said:Voices gives insurance and personal finance professionals a place to share their experience with the wider profession and inform our research, advocacy and engagement with decision-makers. By bringing the perspectives of hundreds of practitioners together, we can better represent the profession on the issues that matter most to the sector.

The Voices community will also have opportunities to submit ideas and articles for The Journal and Personal Finance Professional, and may be invited to attend thought leadership roundtables and panel discussions. Active participants will be entered into a monthly prize draw for a £50 voucher or the option of a charitable donation.

The community is now open to insurance and personal finance professionals who want to help inform CII research and advocacy activity. Click here to learn more or sign up.
